The cache is located at the start of the single track downhill section of the Cow Canyon Mt. bike, hiking, horse, and motorcycle trail. This is one of Molly Dog’s most favorite Mt. Bike trails. We do it a couple times a month when conditions permit. The trials starts just off old Hwy 40 at the river bend in Verdi, Nevada. The parking lot coordinates are N 39° 31.317 W 119° 57.650. The cache is located just off the Peavine/Mogul two track road, so the cache is accessible by 4x4 vehicles or an ATV. However to do it in the style most loved by Molly Dog, a Mt. bike is suggested. To help prevent trail erosion, please do not take an ATV on the single track and we do not recommend the road and/or trail when area is wet and muddy. Cache is an ammo box with the standard items and usual swag and a couple of nice items for the first few cachers. So have fun, tread lightly, and be careful around barbwire.
