coterm59: I met bullseye1 on the trail today in Baldwinsville. He told me he had sent me a message yesterday to inform me that this cache, along with 2 TBs, was missing. I checked the cache & unfortunatly it is missing. I do not have enough travel bugs to replace it at this time so I have put the 2 TBs on my watch list & I'll notify the owners. It is sad that something like this has to occur. Just when it was starting to catch on as a good place to move the bugs. ... Chuck

Geocache Description:

Warners Service Area, NYS Thruway

Westward Ho! TB Hotel is the 4th in the series of Hotels opened by me. I do have K is for Kansas on 90E, this is on 90W. The other 2 are located on 81S at Whitney Point Rest Area & the new Welcome Center at the NY/PA border in PA.
I examined a couple of sites for this near Geneva & Rochester but when I learned the 2nd one at Warners was archived I decided on this site to be near the cachers of Syracuse.
From Syracuse this site may be found by entering the Thruway at 39 & head west. You'll then have to drive to Weedsport at 40 to turn around. I've done this & have found many caches in the Weedsport area. (many of Mama Bear's are located here) The toll 39 to 40 is 60 cents.
An alternative is to drive to Warners from Syracuse & to cross the Canton St. bridge over the Thruway. Take your first right over the bridge (Brickyard Road) & it'll take you right to the rear of the service area.

At present the 4 Quart plastic container holds 4 TBs & a pair of flip flops & other goodies for those without TBs to trade.
A NEW POLICY GOES INTO EFFECT IMMEDIATELY AT THE TB HOTEL. MANY SUGGESTIONS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY THE MANAGEMENT BOTH PRO & CON IN REGARD TO POLICY. THEREFORE WE'LL TRY A NEW ROUTE. PLEASE TRY TO TRADE FOR BUGS BUT IF THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE FEEL FREE TO TAKE ONE WITHOUT A TRADE UNDER THE CONDITION THAT YOU CAN HELP IT TO ACHIEVE ITS GOAL. ALSO WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAINTAIN THE HOTEL. PLEASE DROP OFF ANY TBS YOU FEEL CAN BE MOVED IN THIS HOTEL. I'LL FROM TIME TO TIME CHECK THE INVENTORY & TRY TO MOVE A BUG TO A NEW HOTEL IF I FEEL THE NEW HOTEL MAY BETTER SERVE IN OBTAINING THE BUGS GOAL. THANKS .... CHUCK
