Geocache Description:

A short walk, and a little off the trail, but easy to get to...

This is my prize so far! It is called the ballot box cache because I've put a twist inside.
When you find this cache, you will be asked to vote for your favorite political party; democrat, republican or independent. Inside you will find small pictures of a donkey, an elephant, and an "I" for independent. Choose one and place in the small sealed ballot box. Here are a few rules and info:
1) Please only one vote per person at the cache. They more friends you bring, the more votes you can cast.
2) I will post the results after every 10 or more logs on this page. I will not know how people vote and I will in no way post how people vote. Thats why the ballot box will remained sealed until we have at least ten votes.

There is a prize of a $10 gift card to Sufficent Grounds for the first find!!!

Cache starts with: 2 CD's with some groovy music
small deck of cards
3 dice
brain teaser puzzle
(will add political stuff later)

This should be a fun cache, so sit and enjoy! Any questions or comments, drop me a line!

My GPS was jumping a little, so if you get any other readings besides the one listed, please let me know.

Park closes at 10pm

The tide is shifting!! Looks like more Independents are looking at the major parties. Democrats are now edging out the Republicans. Once again, if you don't like the results, don't complain about it...GO VOTE!!!!

*******NEW,NEW,NEW,NEW RESULTS***************

DEMOCRATS - 54

There you have it. The ballot box was stuffed. Thanks to everyone who voted. Dems seemed to eek out a lead once again. The Independents are still coming out strong! Thanks again!!

NEW TOTALS * NEW TOTALS * NEW TOTALS *

As of April 2008 the totals look like this...

DEMOCRATS - 65 votes 40.1%

REPUBLICANS - 58 votes 35.8%

INDEPENDENTS - 39 votes 24.1%

The Dems once again had a slightly higher vote count. The GOP still got a good number of votes and the Indies seem to be backing more of the major parties this time. There have been a few more votes cast since these were grabbed so I will update again in a few weeks. Again, if you don't like the results, don't complain, GO VOTE!!
