The Mackay Springs area is the headwater for Mackay Creek which is a small creek with a fair population of brook trout. The springs area is a very small lake and is annually stocked with brook trout. This is an excellent place to view wildlife.
The cache consists of a medium sized, camouflage painted, plastic container filled with items to trade. Be sure to wear orange during the deer hunting season. The cache is winter accessible.
