Parking for the trailhead is on HWY 101 southbound, 6.7 miles south of the Crescent City Vista Point.

Parking area for Enderts Beach
This is a 6 mile hike any way you do it. The cache is a small cammo ammo can hidden halfway.
You can park at Enderts Beach and hike in and back, or park at Damnation Creek Trailhead and hike in and back that way. I would highly recommend parking at Enderts Beach then have someone drop you at Damnation Trailhead and hike back to Enderts Beach to pick up your vehicle.
It is a beautiful hike along the old highway, most of which is still visible. There are old wooden mile post markers and the white line still visible in places. It is absolutely beautiful from Damnation to the halfway mark.
If you come from Enderts Bch. there is one very long hill going up. It is pretty slippery in this spot right now due to falling Alder leaves. If you are just doing part of it we recommend starting at Damnation Trailhead, but think hiking the entire stretch is well worth it. Spring will be gorgeous with Rhodies in bloom.
There was only one place where we could get reception and when placed, 31 ft. accuracy. Trail makes long slow "U" turn.
We called this Down Memory Road because we grew up here and it brought back a lot of memories as we walked the old highway. As you walk it, keep in mind the logging trucks had one HUGE Redwood log on it, and the speed limit was 65 miles an hour! And the road was almost as narrow as it is today!!!
