Two stage multi-cache offering panoramic views and a walk beside a stream.
When the Mount Tom trail cache was recently archived, I knew I wanted to place a cache here. I call this revisited, because I made several visits in an unsuccessful attempt to locate the previous cache before it was archived.
Parking for 3-4 vehicles may be found at: N 41 33.873, W 071 43.714.
Enjoy the panoramic view from the summit, where you will find the first stage, a camo'd 35mm film can. Hard to believe that there is so much forest in densely populated Rhode Island. Even better, a view like this is available on publicly accessible land for those willing to make the effort.
Stage two will take you for a stroll along a pleasant small stream, which looks like it would offer some trout fishing possibilities for those so inclined. The final cache is a small, camo'd container, probably 2-3 quarts in volume.
This isn't a park and grab, but does offer some great views and will give you about an hour of moderate exercise.
