These ancient Scone woods lie north of the road that links Old Scone (Scone Palace) with New Scone village.
The woods are a mixture of both Evergreen and Deciduous trees, with a few worn paths and slight tracks to follow, otherwise this forgotten wood is a very tranquil place to explore. The deeply rutted foresters track is now barely visible in places, and becoming very overgrown with gorse bushes and Rhododendron. There are ditches to step/jump over - some full of dried leaves - but don't trust them being dry underneath!!
Parking can be found at one of two layby's along the road, or further into the housing scheme.
