Geocache Description:

The listed co-ordinates are NOT for the cache location. There is nothing here but water. Solve the clues to find the cache, which is located within a 5 mile radius of here.

On Friday 13th October 1307 the end came for some 5,000 Knights Templars across France.

So organised were the arrests that perhaps only 20 Templars escaped. On March 19th of 1314 the Grand Master and the Preceptor of Normandy were burned at the stake. As the flames licked around them the Grand Master uttered a curse against those who had condemned them, on the Pope and King Philip of France. They were to join him within a year.

That night, for all practical purposes marked the end of the 200 year order of the Knights Templars.

33 days later the Pope died, and a few months later, King Philip also lay dead. France was plunged into anarchy for the next 100 years.

The curse of the Templars had come true. It is even said that the reason Friday 13th is unlucky stems from that fateful day in 1307.

The Templars were seriously rich and essentially invented the banking system as we know it, they also used codes, some hidden.

Your quest is to find the solution to the code, and then onto the cache itself, which is a standard camouflaged ammo box.
The cache, which is located quite close to the path (so be aware of muggles), can be reached without trampling through any undergrowth, so please respect the area in which it is located and stick to the paths - even if this is not the most direct route.

Parking is obvious once you have solved the puzzle and get to the location, and the area is suitable for dogs and children, and even in winter is not muddy.

Please leave the cache well hidden.
