Geocache Description:

The cache is located in a wayside rest along Wis. Hwy 35. There is ample parking, but the rest area is closed during the winter. This is a "picnic cache".

When I first started geocaching, I didn't know what to put in the caches I found. So, I saved the item I took from the previous cache and put it in the next cache I found. It occured to me that if I saved these items and put something else back in the cache, I could make a cache from other people's cache stuff. Cache Collector was born. I ask you keep up the traditon.

This is a great wayside rest with a scenic view of Lake Pepin. Be sure to bring a lunch and enjoy the scenery. This cache is intended to be easy to find, yet not obvious to the general public. Since it is in a rest area, muggles will be about. If you continue down the trail past the RR tracks, you will find a "hidden" beach. That is, us locals know about it, but most folks don't have a clue it's there.

This rest area is closed during the winter.
