This geocache is located along Morgantown's most beautiful rail trail, the Decker's Creek Trail.

The hike to the cache site is one mile as the crow flies. As the cacher hikes or bikes, it's more like 1.25 miles. The trail climbs gently as you go (Decker's Creek trail rises 1800 feet from its source at the Mon river to Reedsville). Along the way are some of the most stunning and peaceful areas around. It is beautiful in the spring and fall and cool in the summer; however, I like it best in winter, as the area takes on a stark, cold beauty all its own. Slightly further down the trail past the cache is access down to Decker's Creek and the rapids that American Whitewater rates as Class V+. One whitewater enthusiast described the creek as having "about 5 ways to die in every rapid". Thus, the rapids are beautiful to look at, but please stay out of the creek. As you hike to the cache you will be serenaded by the lullaby of the rapids, which rise to meet the trail rapidly as you near the cache location.
