Geocache Description:

A side trip off of the Historic Stagecoach Trail.

Last April, I took a little side trail off of one of my favorite hiking places. I was surprised to see a pond. I took a friend back in late May and it was still there. It's now dry, but it looks like a couple days of rain could refill it. I had a good place in mind to hide a cache, but the Topanga fire burned it all up. Instead, I placed my cache a little to the south and a little to the east.

There are two ways to approach this, the easy way and the HARD way. The easy way is to park at the charred park kiosk on Lilac Lane at N34° 15.825' and W118° 37.993'. Total distance from there is 4/10 of a mile. The hard way is to come up the "Devil's Slide" part of the Stage Coach Trail, from Chatsworth Park South/Santa Susana State Park. Not for the faint of heart, but a good vigorous hike if one is up for it. You are looking for a small plastic food container.
