In honor of my 200th find, I decided to place this cache on the way back from making my big step in the caching world. This is my rookie effort and I hope it inspires others just as caching has done for me. I placed this out on the road to Mt Tenerife, as that was my goal for my 200th. As the name implies, making it straightforward, it is roughly at 2000 feet.
I placed this cache in the true spirit of caching, getting out into the great outdoors. Granted this one does not offer spectacular views at the location, but they can be found all along the way to the location. It is a logging road, great for both mountain bikes, the means of which I choose to place the cache, or by foot. It adds to the several already in this area making it a profitable caching hike or even a loop with neighboring Si. I think it is low enough that it should be a great year round cache for all those wanting some good NW fresh air. If you dare brave the way to the summit, spectacular views will be had, unless you run into the common NW marine layer. It was beautiful on the day it was placed, may it be just as much a marvel for you on the day you choose to find it.
The ammo box is stuffed with the usual trinkets you might find in a cache, from hand warmers, to puzzles, to glow sticks for the late night hike. The special prize for the FTF is a 10-dollar Starbucks card, which will come in handy for the time of year of the FTF. Nothing like a nice cup of hot java or chocolate to warm the bones back up after a wintry hike.
