chance to meet up and discuss caching stories from the past year.
This will be the first day of the new year, a chance to start as you mean to go on for the rest of the year (caching, drinking beer (if you didn't do enough the night before) and generally having a good time).
The coordinates will lead you to a very nice Pub (I did test it out) on the A61 between Sheffield and Hillsbrough 'The New Barracks Tavern'.
It does real ale and snack type food and it is open on new years day. It also allows well behaved children and dogs (not meaning to lump them in the same category).
On the subject of children, I will bring along a few games etc. suitable for a variety of ages (I'm not so old to remember that parents in pubs can be boring).
We will be in there from about 1 till 4 ish.
I plan of setting a number of caches (in and around Sheffield) for the event and there are ones already near by.
One of these caches has already been released, however another 4 are not going to be released until after the day. These will be available to people to deflower on the day. I will enable them afterwards. First come first served :-)

Oh by the way don't park on the A61 itself, there are a number of side streets around and about to park on.
