Geocache Description:

Located off trail system. Small plastic container.

This cache will take you back in time. You should park in the East Parking Area Lot. DO NOT PARK ON RT. 108.
You will be on US Rt 29 to get to this cache. What??? But I'm not even near Rt 29 with these coordinates. But wait - your GPS handheld is a time machine and it will take you to where the original alignment of US Rt 29 was in 1940. Things were peaceful then. Just a few cars came along here every now and then. Look carefully along the overgrown embankment and you will see the cutoff old telephone poles. Nothing but farms were here then. And yes there was Columbia, MD - even back then. Look to the east about 1/2 mile and there is what was the original Columbia - before the Rouse Co. moved the name to the south at Town Center. Today the present US 29 is named in memory of another number 29 - the famed US 29th Infantry Division.
There are some briars getting to this one. Be cautious of muggles on the pathway. Please place the container back the way you found it.
