Geocache Description:

This is another cache in a series along the Blackstone Gorge recreational area in Blackstone, MA. There is a sizeable parking area at N 42 00.915 W 071 33.147. The cache is a camouflaged rubbermaid container. Be careful if conditions are icy. Parking is in Massachusetts, but the cache location is just over the border in Rhode Island. See if you can find the granite state-line border just off the river-side trail.

I came to this area initially to find Mustcache's Blackstone Gorge . But after finding it, I left. I came back here to check out the rest of the area and was amazed at the beautiful rock formations and the sounds of the mighty Blackstone.

This area has several trails heading out from the parking area. For the best views of the Gorge and the Blackstone River, I'd suggest taking the lower trail that starts right near the Blackstone Gorge cache.

I encourage you to veer off whenever possible to check out the shorelines and rock formations that line the river. This high-energy place is great for a hike or picnic with the family and/or dogs, as well a nice area to get away from it all.
