Geocache Description:

Cache is located in scenic Bicentennial Park near the Lower Falls of the La Chute River. Parking is available near the park or anywhere in downtown Ticonderoga. If you want to make this a park and grab, you can park next to the bridge itself by using the access road that comes in from the town ball fields. Winter conditions may eliminate this option. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THE PARK!

I've replaced the original cache for the second time now. It seems the previous caches have disappeared shortly after having been found while non-cachers were in the vacinity. Please use stealth and if need be, wait until non-cachers leave area before searching for the cache.

The cache itself is a magnetic micro and contains only a small log. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN OR PENCIL. Also, The cache is located on the bridge so there is no need to go looking below! There is room in the container for small trade items only.

The Kissing Bridge is a steel stringer bridge that was covered in 1994 by the local Elks Lodge and the U.S. Army. It's hard to imagine, but in a not too distant past, International Paper's Ticonderoga Mill was located on the banks of the La Chute River in downtown Ticonderoga and the former manufacturing site has been reborn as Bicentennial Park.
