Donovaly - GCDono
Túto kešku pôvodne založil Zsorzs dňa 28. januára 2004 a zaregistroval ju pôvodne len pre maďarskú mutáciu hry na webe geocaching.hu. 22. novembra 2005 preložil listing kešky do angličtiny iný kešer z Maďarska - Jalso a zaregistroval ju aj tu, na geocaching.com. V tom čase nebola v okrese Banská Bystrica ešte žiadna keška, GCDono je teda najstaršou skrýšou v okolí.
Už historický pohľad na Donovaly v zime, niekedy v čase založenia kešky.
Keška je stále registrovaná aj na maďarskom webe, preto ju nie je vhodné presúvať na iné miesto. Zároveň obsahuje kód, potrebný pre zalogovanie u susedov. Prosím, nechajte ho v keške!
Cesta za keškou vás privedie na pekné výhľadové miesto nad centrálnou časťou osady Donovaly. Je pohodlne prístupná od hlavného parkoviska, dreveným peším mostom ponad hlavnú cestu a ďalej po asfaltke, ktorá slúži ako obľúbená promenáda pre turistov, cyklistov, bežcov. GPS vás dovedie až ku stromu, pri kmeni ktorého je ukrytá klasická lock & lock dóza.
Prosím, hľadajte nenápadne, miesto je dosť frekventované.

At the root of a tree on the hillside above Hotel Merkur in the centre of Donovaly, ca. 25 m from a narrow road along the red tourist sign E8.
Donovaly, hardly more than 2 hours drive from Budapest, is an ideal place for skiing in winter and a favoured touristic centre in summer. It is worth stopping here on the way to the High Tatra from Hungary. Approaching Donovaly on E77 from the direction of Banská Bystrica (Besztercebánya), turn right after the pedestrian bridge (N 48'52.672, E 19'13.432), and then follow the signal of your GPS.
The tree hiding the cache can be found at ca. 25 m from the narrow road, along the red tourist sign E8 (on the hillside above Hotel Merkur). In wintertime (in the lack of snow-chain) leave the car in the central car park (free), and approach the cache on foot by a comfortable, 10 min walk. The upper end of one of the ski lifts is ca. 30 m from the cache, i.e. you can ski to the cache. In summertime this solution is not recommended. :-)
