"Advent" is a time of waiting, and managing expectations. While
adults suffer all sorts of stress, for kids this period more often
will try their patience. This puzzle will test the patience for
geocachers of all ages. Enjoy! - And remember, this is supposed to
be fun.
A 2 stage puzzle cache. Coordinates points to a cache that is
easy to find. Some stealth may be required. This building has 3
windows at ground level close to the corner. Cache 1 is fastend
with velcro in a cavity over the center of the window closest to
the corner. Inside the box, there are 6 pieces of wood. These will
have to be assembled into the form of a star. ( See picture )
Putting the star together will probably take a bit of time, so
please observe these rules.
- You can bring the star into your car, only if you can keep an
eye on the cache hide. ( Let others know that the cache is busy.
)
- Otherwise, bring the pieces with you to the Esso station next
door, where you can sit down over a warm cup of coffe and work out
the puzzle.
If cache 1 is missing, check the above two places to see if anyone
is working on it.
When the star is properly assembled a 4 digit number will
appear. Use this number to calculate the positions for stage 2.
The velcro has loosened from cache 1. If unsure about how the
emergency repairs work, consult the picture for how you can safely
mount it.
Formula:
- let a be the four digit number shown on the star.
- let b be a with the digits in reversed order ( e.g. 1234 =>
4321)
- let x be 17 * a + 618
- let y be 19 * b - 303
Cache is hidden at N59 5x.xxx E10 4y.yyy where xxxx / yyyy are
the last 4 digits of x and y
The container is a regular flat Curver. I suspect the site can be
rather busy at times, so it may require stealth Enjoy!
