Thar's Gold in them thar hills alright. We are planing on a series of Gold Caches. For this Gold Cache, you can come in from the Quartzville Creek area. The location of the gold is up in the hills above Yellowbottom. It must of got that name for some reason.
We got there by taking a left about a mile before the Yellowbottom Campground and then take the first road to the right and traveled down this old road for 2+ miles. Here you can enjoy the scenic views way down below, see wild flowers in the spring, and maybe see an animal or two. You'll also pass by the Rhododendron Cache.
You can travel by geo-mobile clear up to the cache area. Bigger than 2 gold bricks, it holds several trade items, a log sheet and pencil.
