Geocache Description:

The Naama Bay is in the center of the region of Sharm-El-Sheik and one of the most beautiful parts of it. You can find there dozens of different hotels, hundreds of restaurants and shops, a beautiful beach und many marvellous coral reefs.

Due to the circumstances with the stolen box by the nearby perfume shop this multi-cache has been replaced by the new traditional cache GC1HD3F at new coordinates. It will soon be activated.

-> If you have searched for the former multi-cache with these old coordinates and a positive result  from the geocacher please log here without visiting the perfume shop

-> In case you have found the new traditional cache - which was temporarily described under this listing from about October 12 to 20 - please wait and log it under the new cache GC1HD3F (will soon be activated and available under this link)

This cache will be

Go to N 27° 54.490 E 034° 19.510.

What do you find at this point?
- a car park: a = 5
- a big swimming pool: a = 10
- a church: a = 15

Now look in the direction of about 120-130 degrees and count the number of letters in the big 3 blue written words of a name. There are now a few more neon writings: There is NO letter "P" in these 3 words and NONE of them is "Casino"!
Number of letters in
- word # 1 = b
- word # 2 = c
- word # 3 = d

And now take a break in one of the various restaurants and calculate - you don't need a computer:
uvw = (a * b * c * d) - 305
xyz = (a * b * c * 2) -74

Check your results with the check sum: (u+v+w) - (x+y+z) = 3 or via the Geochecker

Note: This is a regular public cache but it has been created on a special demand by Alice for her geocacher Swiss Jim Hawkins in order to give him reasons to relax a few weeks at a very nice holiday place during the Swiss winter. And in addition we want to thank SJH for his series of wonderful alp caches in the eastern part of Switzerland in 2005 and 2006. See his caches.

Small note on cache maintenance: We are here several times a year, as is a geocaching friend.

Completions:
May 9, 2008: Special conditions and new hint due to the distressed circumstances
November 29, 2007:  More details in the listing and in the hint, link to the caches hidden by Swiss Jim Hawkins, cache size modified from a micro to a small cache. It is now a bottle.
April 11, 2006: Precised the calculation of the cross sums
March 23, 2006: The cache is now at the former alternative location, new formula, new cross sum
September 14, 2006: Replaced the " • " in the formula with a star ( * )
