Geocache Description:

A simple Multi (in that there's only two stops [:)]) on the Canal. A GPSr, compass, and first aid kit will most likely be needed to complete this cache. [:D]

This cache should not be attempted if you aren't able to move/jump around a bit and deal with some unsteady terrain. Oh, and do NOT try it in the rain/snow either.

Last year I did a hike along the canal from the MD/DE state line to the Delaware River and found a location about 100' east of the cache's location. So I went back to place the cache there but after I got there I thought it might be to easy to get, so I moved the location a bit.

The coordinates listed are for the starting point, which is two tree's (about 2' apart) in the rocks along side the water. To get to the second stage you'll need to take your compass and go on a bearing of, oh about, 348° - 352° for about 65' - 75' (I'm striving for accuracy like Runfrog ). that should put you within 25' of the cache. Overall, it shouldn't take more than 5-10min to get to the search area (the cache isn't more that 100' from the canal road) but the terrain may be tricky.

Also, from the starting point, do not try and go straight to the cache, as it's impossible to do. There is only one way to the cache (that I've found so far), you'll probably see my trail to it.

Oh, there is hunting in this area, so remember to wear orange. And for a final safety thing, the way to get to the cache can be pretty dangerous if you loose your footing, it might be wise to let someone know where you're going on this one (PRM!). Good Luck
