Geocache Description:

TAKE NOTE: The MightyYT restored cache has slightly different coordinates: N34 12.349, W119 05.218.

1.5 on the terrain because its about a 5 minute walk from legal parking.

This is a series of 50 caches representing each of the US States, as overlaid on a map of Camarillo. Most of the caches are true park-and-grab 1 stars, leaving open the possibility of finding all of them in a single day. If you want to make it a long day, try it on your bike!

I decided to do this cache series for several reasons, including;

a) One Year Anniversary. My brother, Zorro Plata (Redmond Oregon), got me into GC last November, and I've been enjoying the adventures with friends and family members ever since.

b) Densify Camarillo caches. Camarillo already has great caches all over town, most of which are more creative and adventure-generating than any in this series. I just wanted to bump up the CPC (caches per capita) a bit. My kids' generation refers to this City as "The Rio", just in case you were wondering.

c) Give back to the sport. I have an awfully high finds-to-hides ratio, about 130:1 before this series. After it, the ratio will drop to about 12:1. Thought this would be a good, cheap way to address the imbalance!

My apologies for the Map Overlay exhibit included in this listing. I have no where near the computer saavy of some of the other Geocachers in this area, some of whose listings are works of art.
