fraygirls: DANG! This cache is a casualty of a breakdown in communication between our UNCW facilites and grounds contact and the local land manager at Ev-Henwood. One granted permission for the cache, but the other would prefer that it not be here. These trails are located off-campus, so it makes sense to go with the wishes of the local manager.

We would like to thank all who sought DANG!, and hope that you enjoyed the neat trails in this area. We are going to be reunited with the container soon, so don't be shocked if we find another place to unleash DANG!, The Sequel.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to DANG!, the cache. Hidden along the trails at UNCW’s Ev-Henwood Nature Preserve (Brunswick County), this is a massive micro that will be easy to find...but tough to log. You’ll find out why when you get there.

Please note that you may only log a find for this cache if you manage to sign the OFFICIAL DANG! LOG SHEET. Scrawling your name on any other piece of paper you may encounter during your search does not count. We will be checking the log sheet on a regular basis, and we will delete “found it” logs written by cachers whose signatures do not appear on the cache log sheet. We will also be adding the names of these poor cachers to our DANG! Hall of Shame...so don’t cheat! It’s not worth it!

In case you were thinking of using the old “I forgot my pen” excuse, don’t even bother. Right next to the cache is another container full of first-edition DANG! mini-pencils, and everyone is welcome to take one to facilitate the log-signing task and to keep as a souvenir. Just the sight of it will help you to relive the wonderful and special time that you spent with this cache.

The cache container is large, but there's no room for trade items...you'll see why when you find the cache. Please replace all components of the cache just as you found them...you wouldn’t want to ruin the thrill for the next finder, would you? We also ask that you re-hide the cache as well as (or better than) you found it. Thank you, and have fun!
