Geocache Description:

Located in the historical village of Warton, just 1 mile from J35 of the M6. It is placed on Warton Crag, an area of outstanding natural beauty with views of both coastline and hills.

Park in the FREE car park at the bottom of the crag signposted from the George Washington pub. see Waypoints

Walking boots or strong footwear are recommended, although the cache is not on the top of the crag, a short steep walk is needed to reach the location. The limestone path is well polished.

Either
From the car park take the path upwards through the trees. You will go through a squeeze stile, bear right through a swing gate and bear left and follow the path upwards.

Or (easier)
From the car park, rejoin the tarmac surface and walk up the road. Till on the right (north) side is wooden bench and path through trees to swing gate. From swing gate go left to GZ.

There are often a few muggles about so please take care not to give away the cache site. Plenty of material for additional rockoflage.

Things to remove from a cache and not to swap in the first instance. Food stuff, sweets, batteries, coins, plasters (Band-Aid) anything in a sachet, anything liquid, marker pens.
