BA-II Mystery Cache

BA-II is a take off of the Bombs Away cache. Yep, it is another WW-II practice bomb target. The cache can be found within the center ring of the target.
You can work this one several ways but the final cache find is easy. I just don’t provide the GPSr coordinates. The cache is located near the center of the target and is fairly obvious. The coordinates listed above are just over ¾ miles from the cache. The concentric rings are not all that obvious from ground level until you get near the center. So wandering around in the desert looking for it probably is not what you want to do. Click on the Terraserver link below and move the map down and enlarge. You can just see the concentric rings of the target when you find it. That is enough information to find the cache with, and you can see parking places for Mom’s Cadillac within 0.3 miles or so of the cache.
Even better is to go to flashearth.com for fantastic satellite imagery. You will have to manipulate coordinates to degrees, minutes and seconds to refine it. Some people have used google earth for success. Great stuff!

The container is now a 3# coffee can under a typical Rock13 bucket. It contains a log and the standard trade items. Please put the big piece of cement back on top to hold it down to protect from the winds and 4 legged coyotes.

Hazards: Fairly open grasslands, usual precautions for snakes, spiders, scorpions and sticky things. And two legged skunks and coyotes
