This is a specimen container that has not been used (at least I hope not).
It contains a small log book a piece of fools gold but no pen or pencil so bring one. The area is intentionally gross, As stated by 39Geezer "I think the dead cat is more gray than black. I left it there for the ambiance."
I in no way had anything to do with the dead cat but I think it fits the area and the cache. Oh and you may want some latex gloves.
