You will have to choose between several forks in the trail to get to this cache. Choose wisely!
This cache is located in the Birdsboro Watershed. You will start at the parking spot along Geigertown Rd. (40 13.478N 075 48.535W) Take the horseshoe trail (yellow blazes) past the gun club and into the Watershed. You can also start at either of 2 pipeline access points near Kulptown Fire Company along rt 345(40 14.510N 075 47.977W or 40 14.567N 075 47.968W), or even at either end of the section of old rt 82 that is now closed to vehicles. There are nice trails that will lead you to the cache from any of these starting points. No matter where you start, there will be several spots where other trails/pipelines/logging roads will appear. You will hit several such spots before you get to the cache. Choose wisely and you will get there with no trouble. Choose the wrong fork, and you'll be doing lots of backtracking. Please allow ample time for this. It is about a 4-5 mile roundtrip hike. Some spots are quite rocky and there are some moderate hills. Cache is in a medium-sized plastic container. Please make sure you hide it well and screw the lid on tightly. Original contents include a little something for everyone, including a FTF envelope. PLEASE wear orange during hunting seasons--this is very popular public hunting grounds. If the coordinates are off at all, please let me know so I can update--I averaged waypoints on a very overcast day.
You may also consider doing this cache as part of a loop with some of my newer watershed caches (Gnarly Tree, A Stone's Throw from the Pipeline, and Holey Cache!!), and 2 of edscott's (Stately Tree and Birdsboro Reservoir). It will be an approximately 6 mile loop if you park on rt 345.
"Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life." (Green Day)
