Fell into the Swamp Traditional Cache

Scratch-n-Win: After over 2 years & 3 monthes of hidden goodness, it is time to archive this cache.
With the recent discovery of the cache by local kids and the newly built townhouses looming above, it is best to vacate the area.

Any trackables inside will be moved to another cache in the upcoming week and everyone's favourite 'red thermos on a stick' with be re-appearing soon as a new cache.

Thank-you all for visiting one of our oldest caches and our first cache to retire from old-age.

Geocache Description:

A friendly place for Travel Bugs to meet (on the verge of a sinister swamp!)

There use to be a sign called "The Fell Trail" pointing down towards the lowlands below the Merritt Trail. So if you are looking for an adventure off the beaten path then this one might be for you.


Please park at the Royal Bank Plaza at the corner of Martindale Rd. and Erion Rd. at N43d10.308 / W079d16.407. Though there is a new subdivision close to the cache there is NO ROOM to park your cars and the residents DO NOT like being disturbed.

Though the cache is called "Fell into the Swamp" there is no need to jump off the cliff like lemmings. There is a nice gentle winding trail that leads down to the cache starting at N43d10.247 / W079d16.196

The container is a large plastic thermos painted black.

Will be a bit slippery getting to it in the winter.
