Geocache Description:

The start of a long walk

This cache is located at the start of the Anchorage Planet Walk. Located here is a replica of the sun. Located at increasingly distant locations are to-scale replicas (on sign posts) of the planets in relation to the sun. The closest four planets are along 5th Avenue. Then you start getting seriously far from downtown. There is a cache located at the Jupiter sign. The Pluto sign is miles and miles from downtown. This is a marvelous way to get a sense of the vastness of our solar system.
