The Crow's Nest is located near the parking area adjacent to the Stone Lakes Wildlife Preserve.
The cache is NOT on the fence or in the preserve. Nearby space is available for parking. However, the preserve is open to the public on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month (September - June), and you may have to compete for available parking space.
Bring binoculars if you plan to visit the preserve. The trail leads to the viewing platform overlooking the wetlands. The best time of year to see migratory birds on the seasonal wetlands is November - March.
There is a slight slope that leads to the cache site. The cache is a painted peanut butter jar.
