Geocache Description:

Another north valley cache near an attractive small strip mall. Park in Flying Star Plaza (formerly Dietz Farm Plaza) Best if you avoid traditonal meal times as the lot fills up but there is additional parking in the back. The cache is small (but larger than most micros) and is log only. Please do not try to remove the entire cache; the part with the contents will unscrew easily. there is a pencil inside.

While you are here, take the time to wander through Bookworks, a local independent book store that is very supportive of New Mexican writers. Check their website www.bkwrks.com and you may be able to combine this find with a talk or a booksigning with an author you admire. The other great place in this plaza is the Flying Star. Be sure and stop for coffee and a wickedly decadent dessert. The key lime pie is to die for as is anything they do with chocolate. Your well-behaved dog is welcome on the patio and they even have a place to tie your horse if you ride in. Inside is dog-free if you have had more dog encounters than you'd like. Happy hunting.
