Geocache Description:

INTRODUCTION – You are looking for 4 zip ties of different colors in random order. Each color represents the coordinates to the next cache. The “LOC Waypoint File” will get you to the starting place, which is a parking lot at the Okinawa Comprehensive Park. (Also known as Exercise Park or “Undou Kouen” in Japanese.) From the parking lot you will have to look for the first zip tie. There is a hint to help you find the first zip tie. From there use the zip ties to give you coordinates to the next cache.

The zip ties are all in plain site. No need to hunt or bushwack for them.

Once you find a colored zip tie, you will also have to find clues that are in the vicinity of that “zip tie” cache. These clues will be used to create the coordinates for the “pay off” cache.

This cache will take about 45 minutes to complete on foot, about half that on bicycle, you choose.

PREPARATION – I would enter the following coordinates in my GPS before starting.

Blue = N 26° 18.264 E 127° 49.679
RED = N 26° 18.550 E 127° 49.442
GREEN = N 26° 18.655 E 127° 49.590
YELLOW – This will be added later once all of the hints are found.

You will also want to take a notebook and pencil to record hint information.

START – Using the waypoint file you will arrive at the Park’s main parking lot. You will need a clue to find the first “zip tie”.

Zip Tie 1 – Clue = “Have a Coke and a Smile.” (Ok, the clue is a vending machine. The zip tie is on the vending machine. There are several machines, but it is easy to find!) This will give you the coordinates for the next zip tie. Once you find the zip tie, look for a black construction marker near the entrance of the stadium. The marker has several Kanji characters in white lettering and a 5 digits . C = The first digit. (Left to Right) Record this number. Then proceed to the next cache based on the zip tie’s color.

Zip Tie 2 – Very near this cache is a “ Nimura Foundry” manhole cover. D = Second-to-last digit (left to right). Record this number. Proceed to the next cache based on the zip tie’s color.

Zip Tie 3 – Near the front of the building there are three colored arrows/path markers. Red, Yellow, and White. A = The number of the Yellow Arrow. Record this number. Proceed to the next cache based on the zip tie color.

Zip Tie 4 – Find the “Hibiscus Tiliaceus” marker. There are two numbers on the marker. E = Second number. (Left to right) Record this number. Next look for a brown speaker pole near the pavilions. About waist high level there is an access panel. B = The number of bolts in the access panel.(If bolts are missing, count the holes as bolts.) Record this number.
This is the “YELLOW” zip tie cache. Now you will use your recorded numbers to find the coordinates to the “pay off” cache.

YELLOW = N 26° 18.ABC E 127° 49.CDE

The cache is a medium sized Tupperware container packed with goodies. I visit this site regularly so I will be adding stuff from time to time. It is hidden fairly easy, in probably the only “out of site” place in the park. There may be an occasional passer-by, but you should be able to retrieve and replace without much trouble.

See the encrypted section for extra hints for each cache if needed.
