This cache is located in the Mashpee River Woodlands. The closest parking area is the "main" parking lot on the west side of Mashpee Neck Road. Trails are well defined, sometimes narrow and there are some slight terrain changes. Trail maps are available at Mashpee Town Hall and EMS in Hyannis.

The history behind the cache: About ten years ago the elder members of fishalott were looking for a home in the area. After looking at a house nearby, we took our dogs for a walk in this end of the Woodlands. Having this wonderful resource down the street was a big part of our decision to place a bid on the house we now call home. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do. Great Blue Heron sightings are common here, so bring your binoculars!
