Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden alongside the 'Seaside Railings' - a seaside railing located on the East Cliff Path outside the gardens of the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum.

Created by the internationally-renowned artist-blacksmith Richard Quinnell, the elegant metal railing acts as a frame for figurative metal sculptures by some of the country's leading craftspeople, including Jan Adam (Ammonite), Graham Chaplin (Crab) and a quintessential seaside icon (bucket and spade) by Neil Stevens. Take some time to look at all the items placed on the railings. A particular favourite of ours is the binoculars - have a look through them!

Parking is available along Russell Cotes Road, but it is pay and display, and you can walk down the slope. The area can get very busy at all times so be very, very discrete! The container contains just a very small log so remember to take your own pen/pencil.

MARCH 2012 - Replaced with another new container. Unscrew carefully and remove log carefully - it should now be easier to extract. Please make sure you replace the log EXACTLY as you find it so that the next cacher will be able to do the same - make sure that the log is rolled tightly and replaced. REMEMBER - its a nano so keep logs short, date and initials are enough, i don't need full names taking up inches!

Previous container and log lasted 5 months as people ignored the instructions on retreiving and replacing resulting in logs constantly getting stuck at the bottom and seeming unable to remove. - Let's hope this one lasts longer!!
