Geocache Description:

Placed near Ecclesfield Priory. The cache is accessible with pushchairs.

The priory is alleged to have been set-up in the late 1000s by the Monks of the Benedictine Monastery of St. Wandrille in Normandy. It was eventually converted to what became Ecclesfield hall having been siezed by the English Crown.

The cache is located just a short walk away with views over the valley towards the Wentworth Estate. If you look you can see Keppel's Column and Hoober Stand

As usual it can get muddy underfoot, so good footwear is advised.

The cache itself is a small cammo'd box. Please take care to rehide well
