Saint Marie Park is located on the shores of the Wye River just across from the Martyrs Shrine and down river from Saint Marie Among the Hurons and the Wye Marsh.

I have been coming to this park since I picniced here as a child with my family.  Most recently my association with the park was through the 2003 Wendake Shores all sections spring Camp, you may have noticed a few of the camp badges arround as I have been placing them in caches.  A couple of interesting features stand out in this park: the small replicas of ?Huron? meeting houses and the 2 interesting wind break/fire places that have been built here.  I am not completely certain of the origins of the park and would like to know more details.

The cache is placed in a spot very near one of the parking areas so you may get to the cache without exploring the park but please take the time (15 minutes) to walk through Saint Marie park if you can.

I have been informed that parking is not available as of Dec. 13, 2005 likely until spring.  Oh well, maybe you can hike in... Good Luck
