A walk or mountain bike ride through pristine mountain fynbos.
This geocache is located in the heart of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. Get your permit from the Oudebosch office at S34 19.346 E18 57.977. Standard Cape Nature rates apply (or use your Wild Card). Gate times are between 7h30 and 19h00.
The hike option follows the Palmiet river, with some lovely spots to swim along the way. By mountain bike, the distance to the cache is 5.12km, on jeep track with some fairly technical bits.
The geocache is close to the spot where the Palmiet river hike joins up with the jeep track. For those with legs left to walk or bike, continue along the jeep track for an extended mountain fynbos experience.
