This cache has nothing much to do with the great US President it is named after - it's more to do with rhyming slang. And unless the wind is in the wrong direction, you will find out why when you visit this place!
However, to make some attempt to be in keeping with the spirit of the great man I thought I would make this a cache with a charitable theme. My favourite cache swaps are the charity badges I can obtain from my place of employment (which is quite nearby, as it happens!). You've maybe seen Clangers, Bagpuss, Thunderbirds, Muppets and others badges in caches throughout the land...
So I filled the cache box with badges and wristbands from as many charities as I could find - see the pic. If you are visitng the cache I would appreciate it if you could either make a donation to the charity of your choice or bring a suitable badge or wristband as a swap. I think Mr Lincoln would approve!
For a quick cache and dash you can park at N55.55.730 W003.19.521 or you could make your way over from Hermiston Gate, where there is also a railway station. Boots or wellies are recommended as it can be a bit muddy underfoot, but you don't have to climb any fences to get to the cache.
