How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in Hermann Griem Park in Wheatley Heights. It's a Town of Babylon park with a playground, tennis courts, baseball field, picnic tables and grills, and a small network of trails.

Park in the lot and from there it's approximately .15 miles to the cache. You can walk up the grassy hill to a trail at the top, or take the trail that starts behind the gazebo. Either way will get you to the cache.

On a clear day, if you go to the top of the grassy hill, turn around and face south and you'll be able to see the Robert Moses Causeway bridges! From the cache location you'll also be treated to a real nice view.

This is also a GREAT place to go sledding in the winter!

*BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN RETRIEVING THE CACHE!* I've upped the terrain rating due to where you have to go to make the grab.
