Geocache Description:

The end point on the South Town Doggie Jaunt will take you to the former location of a now-archived travel bug hotel and one of CoolCache's favorite outdoor stores. Judging from the history of that cache, this seems to be a challenging location with muggles, floods, and ever-threatening development. Maybe all that calls for a little engineering. It's doubtful you've seen one like this before I'd say. Note the info on the log receptacle... it explains the container.

Coordinates will bring you to the starting location of this cache. From this point you will have to use the project waypoint feature of your GPS. Project a waypoint from this location of 340º magnetic for approximately 280 feet to make the find. The container has room enough for some small trades and travel bugs. All these small TBs should be safe: this cache is also anchored in concrete with galvanized steel chains. Only someone real motivated will walk away with it. And as I always try to do, I started off the trade stock with some good items. Please label all your trades items and conceal the cache well afterwards.

Also take some time analyzing the lid and how to get it off. And for that you'll need to know one more thing: The M252 medium-extended range mortar is in current use with the US Marines.

Another CoolCache original.

>>>>> 2/25/12: Log replaced, geo-garbage removed, please quit stealing my pens. Log is in main container now. Cache in excellent shape and durable as designed. Drop into Beehive Brews next door and say hello to high energy Annie, the owner. Thanks for visits.

The South Town Doggie Jaunt

These caches make up CoolCache's South Town Doggie Jaunt. They are closely spaced and designed to allow your dog friend and you to find some caches while having a surprisingly fun walk or run almost entirely on grass, even in this busy area. I suggest a leash unless your dog is off-leash trained as many cars abound. And of course please clean up after your friend to keep the experience fun for your geo friends that will follow:
