Bring your AED (placed 12/05) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

RREngineer: I went out there to verify the cache and it seems the park had an expansion project that they completed which caused the cache to go MIA. Thanks to all that took time to do this one and enjoy the quest.

Geocache Description:

Okahumpka Lake Park is another of the well kept parks in Sumter County. BYOP. The cache coordinates are 28 AB.CDE 82 FG.HIJ. There are several places to sit and rest and a playgound for the kids. If you do this as a group, bring enough for a game of Volleyball. Smilax and poison ivy await you. at the cache site. Wear long pants. Cache can be both easy or hard to access.

1/14/6. I CHANGED THE PUZZLE TO REFLECT THE NEW CACHE LOCATION. 6/2/6. Construction of the new boat ramp has been completed.

The puzzle part of the cache involves walking and writing down some numbers and doing some addition and subtraction. The high cache rating is because it involves the entire length of the fitness trail, along with the calculations and retracing your steps to correct mistakes. You can figure on spending least an hour doing this or more if you spend time at each of the challenges. Wheelchairs can do everything except find the cache itself. At each station you will find various fitness challenges. There are requirements for both the (B)beginner and the (X)expert. You will need these numbers to determine the final coordinates. I will use the (B) and (X) to let you know which ones to use. Unfortunately the numbers you need aren't in station order. Make sure you read very carefully in order to determine the correct answer to each part of the question.

Find the 1st station and from tthere, your eyes and the arrows will direct you around the park. I have included a place for you to write your numbers as you wander around the park. Good luck on your quest.

Congratulations. If all you did was walk this course, you still contributed to your health and happiness by completing the World Trail. The shallow/grassy lake just south of the park covers 640 acres and has a lot of Bass. Congrats to Turtletoes/Biggie on gettting another FTF on one of my caches.
