Geocache Description:

I have been driving by this sign at 55 mph (ok, so maybe just a bit faster) for years and never slowed down enough to discover why it was erected there. I am proud to say that I now know the historic event behind the sign!

"To commerorate the exploration of the waters of the Pacific Northwest by Captain George Vancouver whose first camp was on the beach at the mouth of this stream May 2, 1792."




Do Not attempt to park directly in front ot the sign. Drive to the parking area just beyond the ravine. You will be parking right in front of:
