Geocache Description:

An ammo can hidden near marignally-paved Zachary Taylor Road, south of Highway 199 and Fort Washita.

Zachary Taylor Road is paved... kinda. I wouldn't take a family car or other low clearance vehicle on this road but its your choice. Take one of the dirt roads that head in a southerly direction, towards Cumberland Cut, and if you choose the right one it will take you to within 10 yards of the cache.

In Lake Texoma's early days this area was a resort style park, but as the lake silted in the area was less desirable for boating and swimming and was abandoned.

In May of 1978 a manhunt for two prison escapees took place in this general area. FYI :-)
