The Ruin Traditional Cache

The cache is hidden in the rocks behind the farm house ruin. A very easy walk (45 min) from the Beaverlac camp site on a dirt road.
Drive North from Cape Town along the N7, past Malmesbury and Moreesburg, then turn Right (East) at Piketburg to cross the valley to Porterville. (approx 1 hour 15 minutes total). From Porterville, head out North through the main road and beyond. A few km from the town, turn right onto the Cardouw /Dasklip Pass gravel road. The road follows the base of the mountain - you should soon see the pass snaking up the mountain. About 10km from the turnoff, turn right onto the pass, proceed to the over the pass to Beaverlac campsite. Day visits are allowed but the camp site is exquisite so a stay is probably appropriate.
