Geocache Description:

An easy one-stage cache consisting of a well-cammo'd small cache. A beautiful park in the middle of downtown Piedmont with bridges, waterfalls, and nice vegetation. Easy parking & restrooms closeby.

At the center of Piedmont both geographically and historically, Piedmont Park covers approximately 15 acres and contains a variety of recreational facilities. The east entrance to the park is at 711 Highland Avenue where large sloping lawns surround the city's Community Hall. This area also contains a Tot Lot for the city's smallest residents and two tennis courts. The remainder of the park is a natural glen with many pathways following the course of Bushy Dell Creek. With a special permit from the police department, dogs may be off-leash in the dell area of the park. A separate entrance to the park from Wildwood Avenue offers a scenic view of Witter Field at Piedmont High School and a panoramic vista of San Francisco Bay and Mt. Tamalpais. The community gathers at the park for annual Fourth of July festivities, concerts and holiday tree lighting in December.

This is a 1-stage traditional cache. It should be an easy find for the experienced cacher. It is a small container that is well-cammo'd. It is large enough to hold small trade items. Please bring a pen!

Your adventure will take you near a fountain, over bridges, past creeks and waterfalls, and through a beautiful urban park.

Some interesting PIEDMONT HISTORY.
