CACHE IS NOT AT POSTED COORDINATES - PLEASE HELP ME FIND THE CACHE!

I was out Geocaching the other day and it took me a LONG time to find the cache. I have to tell you what happened... My GPSr read 0 feet, so this is where I started, but there was no cache.
So, I walked 2 meters east, 2 meters north, 1 meter west, 1 meter south, 1 meter west and 2 meters north. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 5 meters north. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 7 meters south. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 3 meters west and 1 meter south. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 3 meters east. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 4 meters south. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 1 meter north. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 7 meters east and 3 meters north. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I decided to try a more circular method. I walked 1 meter away and put a stick with a string attached in the ground. Then I walked back to where I had just been. I tied the other end of the string to my ankle. The string was 1 meter long. I walked for 6.28 meters. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 3 meters west. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 4 meters west. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 2 meters west and 2 meters east. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I walked 3 meters west, 4 meters south, turned to a heading of 37 degrees and walked for 5 meters. I was ___ meters from my starting point. No cache.
I was starting to get frustrated so I walked 8 meters back towards my car. I was ___ meters from my starting point. And there was the cache.
