This should be a fairly easy find. The cache site is reached via
Duke Forest roads, but is located just outside the boundary of Duke
Forest on a well traveled use trail. Round trip is under a mile and
the trails are largely flat with a few ups and downs. A good cache
for kids if they're used to walking on forest trails.
Park at: N 36 00.423, W078 57.956 and head past the gate
and down the forest road. At the first intersection, your GPS will
point the way. No bushwhacking on this one whatsoever, so you can
stay on the trail the whole way.
Please access this only from the posted parking coordinates.
Trying to access the cache by going cross-country directly from
Route 751 is illegal and dangerous. There's a deep gully and creek
and considerable undergrowth.
Tree cover may make reception a bit dicey in summer. Use the
clue if you get stumped.
Please be sure that you replace the
container securely in its hiding place so it stays put.
Minimal muggle activity here, but be stealthy just in case.
Log only. Please bring a pen.
Have fun!
