Geocache Description:

i know - you're asking, "what's a FAP?"

and, "why would you want to slap the knap out of FAP?"

well, FAP is the Family Advocacy Program here at fort bragg. it's run by Army Community Services. the FAP runs a whole host of programs from parenting, stress and financial management classes to spousal abuse and, yes, anger management programs.

my inside source at FAP tells me that it's quite amusing to see the anger management 'students' get irrate when they show up late and are told they can't attend the class.

this cache honors the FAP and its employees who try to keep fort bragg's families safe and sane 'cause the army ain't a sane business.

you're looking for an ammo can jam packed with FAP freebies -

pedometers
flashlights
cool pens
CDs
fort bragg directory magnets
parenting tips
stress relief tips
marriage tips
coke can coozies
guardian attack frogs
two coins from the coinsandpins.com out of raeford.
two micro caches ready to be hidden
and some other stuff

i don't recommend this cache for real small children. the brush can be rather thick, there is some thick mud involved, thorns, swift moving water and, depending which way you approach from, some creek jumping. i will tell you that i went in and out without getting my boots wet. it is possible.

you can tell that the area floods at times. today, it was not flooded. hopefully the cache is heavy enough it will not float away from its spot. i should have tied it down but had no cord with me. if someone could please tie it down for me i would be greatly appreciative!!!!!!!!!!!! please make sure the ammo can seal is fully seated and closed tight. remember - this is a very wet area. if water gets in it will ruin much of the contents.

there is a hole in the canopy above the cache location. there were quite a few satelites overhead, as well. so, the coords seem rather accurate, in theory anyway. i expect comments if you're finding the coords to be off.

while you're there, note the small freshwater clam shells
that the local racoons have been dining on.

if you want a good laugh take a look at the backside of the townhouses/condos next to the area and suggested parking area. i didn't know one could farm satelite dishes....

as always, have fun and stay safe.
