Crescent Trekkers: This was one of the first caches we placed and we had a lot of fun with it. We won't be replacing it, so will archive it. Thanks to all who took the time to visit it.

Geocache Description:

The Gastonia Greenway begins at the southern edge of Lineberger Park, where a kiosk marks what should be mile zero of the Greenway. It ends 2.2 miles later and is a flat, paved, meandering path that follows Avon Creek, which eventually flows into Catawba Creek just past the 1 mile marker. It's a great place for folks of all ages, and I suggest making this cache a family outing. There's plenty of benches and picnic tables along the way. Depending on the time, there's a lot of traffic, so you'll have to use your stealthy geo-skills.
This cache is past the 1 1/4 marker, but it's a pleasant walk. Be careful when opening the cache as it is the bottom part of the container. There's room for small trade items.
If you park at Lineberger Park, the path under Garrison Blvd. tends to get muddy, so you may want to park across the street. It's kinda obvious, but the parking coordinates are N35 15.175 W081 10.274 (visit link) for detailed information about the Gastonia Greenway
