At the time this cache was placed, the Boys and Girls Club of Temecula was under construction in the park. Now, this facility is up and running, serving youth of Temecula. This park is named in honor of Kent Hintergardt a Riverside County Deputy Sheriff assigned to Temecula, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on May 9, 1993. Take the time to say thanks to the men and women who serve us as peace officers. In a world where athletes and actors get too much attention, they are some of the true role models for our us and our kids.
